1. About these terms

This website is run by [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME], trading as Recommended by Agents, [REGISTERED_ADDRESS]. "We" and "us" mean that business.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

If you use the site on behalf of a company, you agree to these terms for that company too.

2. These terms are not a services contract

These terms cover the website only: its pages, the free readiness check, the Index, and our insights articles.

They do not cover the work we do for clients. Every engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between us and the client. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.

Service descriptions and prices on the site are there to inform you. They are not an offer that binds us. Nothing is agreed until both sides have signed.

3. Using the site

You may use the site for normal, lawful purposes. You must not:

• Break the law, or use the site to harm anyone.
• Try to get into systems or data you have no right to access.
• Probe, scan or attack the site. Good-faith security research under our disclosure policy is welcome.
• Interfere with the site or overload it.
• Send spam or false information through our forms.
• Pretend to be someone else, or submit another person's details without their permission.

4. The free readiness check

The check is a free tool. You give it a product URL. Our server fetches that page, plus the same site's /robots.txt and /llms.txt, and returns a score with a list of gaps. The Privacy policy explains what happens to the URL.

Rules for using it

• Public pages only. Submit only URLs on the public web that anyone could open without logging in. Do not submit internal addresses, staging sites behind a login, or URLs that contain passwords, tokens or personal data.
• Pages you have a reason to check. Your own store is the obvious case. Looking at a competitor's public product page is fine. Using the tool to harass or disrupt a site is not.
• No automated hammering. The check is for people using the form on this site. Do not script it, run it in bulk, or build it into your own product. It is limited to 10 checks per minute per IP address. We may change that limit at any time.
• No workarounds. Do not try to get around the rate limit or the tool's safety rules, and do not try to make it reach private or internal systems.

We may block or limit anyone who breaks these rules. We may change, pause or withdraw the tool at any time.

What the results are, and what they are not

• Results come from automated heuristics. The tool reads the HTML the server sends and applies a fixed set of checks. It does not run the page's JavaScript, and it sees one page at one moment in time.
• Results are provided "as is". They can be wrong or incomplete. Some sites block automated visitors, and in that case the tool may not be able to read the page at all.
• A score is not a guarantee. A high score does not mean any AI agent will recommend your product. A low score does not mean it will not. AI agents are built and run by other companies. They decide what to recommend, and they change without notice.
• The score is our own measure. It is not an official rating from any AI company.
• Do not rely on the check alone for business decisions. It is a starting point.

How the tool identifies itself

When it fetches a page, the tool sends this User-Agent: RecommendedByAgentsCheck/1.0 (+https://www.recommendedbyagents.com/). Site owners who would rather not be checked can block that User-Agent, or email us.

5. No affiliation with AI companies

We are an independent agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Google, Meta, Anthropic, Perplexity or any other AI company.

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and other product and company names on this site are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to describe the products our work relates to.

6. The Index and our insights

The Index and our insights articles are general information.

• They are not legal, financial or other professional advice.
• The Index records what AI agents said in response to set questions during a set period. The methodology explains how it is made. It does not measure sales, traffic or product quality.
• A ranking describes what the agents said. It is not our endorsement or criticism of any brand.
• Agents change often, so content can go out of date. We work to keep it accurate, but we do not promise that it is complete or current.

7. Illustrative examples

Some reports, scores, agent answers, pull requests and brand names on the site are examples. They are labeled as examples or "for illustration only" where they appear. They are not real client results, and they are not promises about what you will achieve.

Images on our insights articles are AI-generated illustrations. They do not show real people, products or events.

8. Intellectual property

We or our licensors own the site and its content. That includes the text, design, code, the Index and the Recommended by Agents name and logo.

You may:

• Read, print and share pages for your own use or use inside your business.
• Quote short extracts, including Index figures, if you credit "Recommended by Agents" and link to the source page.

You may not copy substantial parts of the site, republish it as your own, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. For anything else, ask us.

The Manrope typeface used on the site is licensed under the SIL Open Font License.

9. What you send us

Make sure what you send through our forms is accurate and yours to send. We use it as the Privacy policy describes. Sending us a form or an email does not create a client relationship.

10. Links to other sites

The site links to services run by others, such as Calendly for booking calls. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

11. Disclaimers

The site, the free check and all content on the site are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties about them, whether express or implied. That includes implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not promise that the site will always be available, free of errors or free of harmful code. Please protect your own devices.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows:

• The site and the check are free. We are not liable for any loss that comes from using them or relying on them.
• We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
• If we are found liable despite the above, our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to 100 US dollars.

If you are a consumer, you keep any rights that the law of your country says cannot be taken away.

13. Governing law
